Lot 1260 Remington Model 25 .32-20 #25961

American made vintage take down pump action rifle chambered in .32 W.C.F. manufactured circa 1930 in Ilion, NY. The Model 25 was made between 1923-1935. This rifle features a blued finish, grooved 'corn cob' style walnut slide handle, smooth straight walnut shoulder stock, factory serrated steel buttplate, an approximately 17 3/4" barrel, 2/3 length magazine tube under barrel, smooth curved trigger, sling studs in the buttstock and magazine tube ring, dovetailed blade front sight with beaded top, sporting rear sight, push button manual safety, and takedown screw on left side of receiver. The bore is bright with strong rifling. The retained bluing is about 80% overall with general fading, light scratches, edge wear, and the metal shows light scattered rust. Furniture wood is good with normal handling marks on the buttstock and slide handle. The slide handle has about a two-inch crack in the front, on the left hand side. The action is smooth and crisp. This rifle comes with a leather sling.
